Why Should Employers Do Pre-Employment Testing?

Did you know that employee turnover costs billions of dollars per annum to the USA economy? That’s the reason employers should ensure that the candidate is right for the job before hire. Pre-hiring tests can involve several assessments, including employment and health history and physical examinations, aptitude skills, and background checks.

As a part of our Pre-Employment Physical and Testing service, we provide all types of pre- and post-hire services that require employee health evaluations, fitness tests, and other duty-specific tests that determine whether candidates are safely able to perform job-specific responsibilities.

Why Should Employers Do Pre-Employment Testing?

When your company is on the line, it is essential to know who exactly you’re hiring. The experts at Axiom Medical can do all of these and guide you on your pre- to post-hire total worker health journey. As part of our comprehensive service, we will handle everything from the testing to the evaluations, follow-up procedures and report results back to you so you can know you’re making an informed decision, while staying in compliance.

Our program includes:

Axiom provides everything clients need to complete the required Hazwoper exam for those employees needing to obtain their Hazwoper certification. Our testing also includes notification of mandated annual re-occurrence of exams.

Functional Capacity Exam – Physical Capability

Axiom Medical offers Functional Capacity Exams (FEC) as part of our pre-employment exam, often conducted during the pre-hire process to correctly determine if the newly hired can safely perform the job duties. We offer both modified FCE or a full FCE depending on our clients’ needs. The Functional Capacity Exam is more comprehensive than the DOT or non-DOT physical and assesses each employee’s job function based on specific testing tailored for that role.

Custom-Tailored Tests:

At Axiom Medical, we understand the specific testing needs at a workplace and the complexities of managing a growing workforce’s health and safety. Our team can customize any testing programs to fit your periodic and ongoing employee testing needs at the workplace.

What is Pre-Employment Testing?

Pre-employment testing is an initial screening that gathers data with job-specific physicals, background screening, and other employee testing in a standardized way during the hiring process. Axiom Medical’s professionally developed, well-validated pre-employment tests are designed to help clients with the hiring process. Our program will help employers in an efficient and reliable way to gain insights into the capabilities and traits of prospective employees. Depending on the type of test being required, our team can custom-tailor pre-employment assessments to test a job applicant’s ability to perform in the workplace.

Why is Pre-Employment Testing Important for Hiring?

With a growing number of job applicants in the USA job market, pre-employment tests have become increasingly popular in the recent years. Employers use these tests and programs to filter and manage large applicant pools. With more applicants using the internet as their primary platform to apply for each job, it is unsurprising that over 50% of job applicants do not meet the basic job qualifications. Pre-employment test will include all types of background screening, employee physical, and other testing required by the hiring managers. With a pre-employment program, employers can find suitable candidates for their companies.

They Said It!

I believe with confidence that we are reaching all of our expected goals by bringing Axiom on as an outsourced case management solution.

Axiom has helped us closely monitor the injured employee’s progress through the medical treatment process. Early treatment has kept our employees at work when in the past they would have likely taken time off or been placed off by a physician.

I recommend Axiom because their Nurse Case Management Team is their biggest asset. They are accessible, give great reports and are responsive to our needs.
